Good place to get a quick bite of authentic Korean food. Tofu is super tender and the soup is very flavorful. You can choose the spicy level, and medium seems to work well for me. The soups come with rice. Tofu soup is boiling hot and definitely take your time to savor it (don’t rush). There is a small free parking lot upfront, although it’s probably hard to find a spot during peak hours.

I recently visited So Kong Dong and was thoroughly impressed with the experience. The ambiance is nice, providing a comfortable backdrop for a delightful meal. The food was absolutely delicious, and I couldn't stop raving about our order: Pork Sundubu, Korean Cold Noodles, Fried Tofu with Sweet and Sour Sauce, Kimchi, and Kimchi Cucumbers. The Pork Sundubu stood out with its wonderfully umami fermented flavor. It was spicy, and the pork was distinctly flavorful. The broth was a bit thicker, which I really enjoyed, making it a very delicious bowl of tofu soup. The Korean Cold Noodles were also a highlight. The cold noodles had a great tang, and the broth came out frozen and icy, adding an interesting texture. The fruity flavor was a pleasant surprise, and the noodles were super chewy with plenty of pickles, making it incredibly refreshing. The Fried Tofu with Sweet and Sour Sauce was another winner. The outer fried area of the tofu had a great potato starch chew, and the sweet and sour sauce with the vegetables stuck to it perfectly, coating it with amazing flavor. You could really taste the veggies too. Their kimchi was amazing, with perfect seasoning and fresh cabbage that was sweet, peppery hot, and full of umami. The kimchi cucumbers were thickly sliced, sour, umami, and spicy—simply delicious. Overall, So Kong Dong offers great Korean food, and it's one of the best I've been to. All their food and flavors were spot on. Highly recommend it!

I recently visited So Kong Dong in Fort Lee and had a good experience. Their tofu soup is absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful, and comforting. I also tried the spicy beef soup, which had just the right amount of heat and paired perfectly with the rice. Both dishes were satisfying and felt like true Korean comfort food. The flavors are authentic, the portions are generous, and the overall dining experience left me wanting to come back again. Definitely a spot worth revisiting if you’re craving hearty Korean soups! Great spot for soondubu-jigae. Nice friendly staff. Best part is the sides. They bring out brocoli with sesame oil, kimchi, and etc.

The mild tofu stew is slightly too spicy for me but the flavors were great! The side dishes and the pancake we got were very tasty too!

The tofu soup is probably the best in New York area. My friends and I order many things and we enjoyed them all. However they used to have LA Short ribs and now it’s only BBQ pork, which is a bit disappointing. Still highly recommend

As soon as we walked in we were greeted and sat right away. The service was quick and attentive. The food was very delicious and reasonably priced. It was very nutritious as Korean food usually is. Definitely going to be my go to spot.
